Feathers perform the essential task of filtering blood and excreting waste products through urine. The normal values for total urine affair range between 800 to 2000 mL in grown-ups with normal fluid input of 2L during 24 hours.
Normal urine affair per hour values for grown-ups need to be around 1 mL/ kg/ hr. Considering an average weight of 60 kg, this means 60 mL/ hr for normal order perfusion.
While urinary affair is largely told by fluid input and overall order function( types of habitual order complaint), there are other factors that affect it.
- Dehydration
- Perspiration
- Caffeine, alcohol intake
- Medicaments
In order to assess kidney function, the 24-hour urine collection test is one of the most commonly used methods. As part of the test, the following are determined:
- Creatinine
- Sodium
- Potassium
- Nitrogen
- Protein
Polyuria is defined as abnormally large volumes of urine, a condition seen in diabetes insipidus. Increased urine volume also occurs in some forms of order complaint, operation of diuretic drug or during ages of high fluid input.
