The QUICKI calculator measures a case's insulin perceptivity grounded on their fasting insulin and glucose situations, attained from a blood sample. QUICKI stands for Quantitative Insulin Perceptivity Check Index (which means that QUICKI indicator reprises indicator doubly) and was developed in 2000 following a study by Katz et al.

Insulin perceptivity is the contrary of insulin resistance. Insulin perceptivity indicates how sensitive the body's cells are when they respond to insulin, where:

High insulin perceptivity

Allows the cells of the body to use blood glucose more effectively and reduces blood sugar

Low insulin perceptivity

is associated with high blood sugar situations, as cells do not absorb the quantum of glucose they should.
